Data validation

Records checked against source documentation, so decisions rest on data that has actually been confirmed.

Business records degrade quietly. Details are entered once and never revisited, companies change name or ownership, addresses go stale, and a database that was accurate at creation becomes progressively less reliable without anyone noticing.

We validate records against source documentation and available registries — checking accuracy, internal consistency and completeness, and flagging entries that cannot be confirmed. This applies equally to supplier registers, client databases, and corporate records inherited through an acquisition.

Findings are returned in a structured format you can act on: confirmed, corrected, or flagged for follow-up, with the discrepancy identified in each case.

What the engagement includes

  • Records checked against source documentation
  • Accuracy, consistency and completeness assessed
  • Discrepancies identified and documented
  • Structured findings you can act on directly
  • Single-file or batch processing

Every engagement follows the four-stage process used across the documents & data verification desk — brief, then the work, then review, then delivery — with scope and cost agreed in writing before anything begins.

(FAQ)
What volume can you handle?

From individual records to substantial batches. Larger volumes are quoted per record and the unit cost falls with scale.

What formats do you accept?

Common structured formats including spreadsheets and CSV exports. We confirm the format and required fields before starting.

Do you correct the records or just flag them?

Either. Where a correct value can be established from source documentation we can supply it; where it cannot, the entry is flagged with the reason.
